Jacqueline Jones

Position: Assessor for Help at Home (Costa Blanca) Quesada

Background :I retired and moved to Spain in 2011 having spent the previous 24 years as a qualified Social Worker in the UK.

As a mature student I obtained a B.A degree in English, Sociology & Politics followed by a Certificate of Qualification in Social Work & a Dip.SW from Exeter University.

I worked as a Social Worker & later as a Practice Manager in Childcare services in Devon & then moved to CAFCASS (Children & Families Court Advisory & Support Services) as a Family Court Advisor.

Following retirement I missed the sense of feeling useful in my local community and so joined Help at Home(Costa Blanca)as a volunteer 6 years ago.

In Quesada we have a small but very committed group of volunteers led by our Coordinator Joan Waddington.

Together we offer our support to those in need in our wider community and enjoy being a part of the great work of all those involved in the charity.
